Wallace monument, originally uploaded by bobsee.
I use iPhoto to collect and organise my photographs but apart from applying keywords and ratings to make smart folders and slideshows I haven’t really explored its image manipulation functions. I took this shot of Wallace Monument in unusual light and it came out pretty underexposed. In fact, I was going to drop it in the trash folder but decided to see what the “enhance” button (the one with the magic wand”) did. I love what happened. The monument itself shines in the sunlight and the Ochil Hills behind took on this really interesting blue colouring. I like it

That’s a beautiful photograph! WHere is this Wallace Monument? I’m gathering you are in Brisbane.
I found your site thru the comments on jo(e)’s blog.
The other photo of the sun is awesome as well!
Hi Amy,
it’s in the heart of Scotland! I was born and brought up in the town of Stirling and Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument are two of the town’s landmarks. Pop across to my flickr page http://www.flickr.com/photos/bobleckridge scroll down to the photo of the Wallace Monument on the first page (well, it is on the first page until I put more photos up, then it’ll disappear to page 2 or wherever!). Under the photo you’ll see the word “map”, if you click on that it will show you EXACTLY where the Monument is. Oh, and you can do the same thing with the photo of the sun which is on page 2.
Thanks for your kind words. I really appreciate them
Bob
