I know how many of you share my love of texture.
I drove a long way down a very winding single track road then clambered over an incredibly stony beach to get to Honeycomb Rock on the Isle of Skye.

WOW, this is so crazy! Is this made from water dripping down onto rocks, or is it splashing up into that cave space? Amazing. It reminds me of some closeup from a microscope, like seeing membrane with all its holes. Fun how everything is related like that.
Strangely I don’t think it’s either dripping OR splashing! But I must confess I don’t know!
I remember seeing some coffee table book once that juxtaposed microscopic and macroscopic and even satellite photos showing the same patterns repeated in nature at all those levels.
Fascinating, huh?
