My favourite Christmas lights are up and glowing again in Glasgow – this is Royal Exchange Square, where the Gallery of Modern Art is, and where you’ll find one of the loveliest Borders bookstores in the world!
I know these lights are very simple and maybe they don’t even look spectacular but I can tell you the experience of walking underneath them is really something else! Fabulous!

I think you’re right – here’s a case where I suspect that the photo doesn’t do justice to the actual experience. Still, I get an idea of what you’re seeing, and I’m a little sad that I’ve got nothing that lovely to compare.
Mrschili, walking under these lights is one of the magical experiences of my life! And I’ll be doing it pretty much every evening now on my way home as I head between the main railway stations in Glasgow. It’s one of life’s little treats!
I’m sure there must be something around for you which gives a special wee lift to the everyday
Just passing through on a random search of photography postings … wanted to comment on your Christmas lights! They look incredible – but as has been said – I’m sure the visual experience is much more intense than the photographs posted. I would think it would be akin to looking up into a beautiful starry sky!
How absolutely beautiful!!!!! 🙂
Bob your pictures are so wonderful!
