This photo of a cliff with the clouds swirling around it looks distant and remote. You could imagine it’s a landscape in a wild, barely populated area.
However………
When I pull back the zoom without shifting my feet a single inch I can capture this photo……
Different impression entirely, huh?


I got an important lesson about this as concerns some of the images we get out of the Holocaust era. Just a little bit of perspective changes the entire picture. Even though we weren’t in the age of Photoshop, there was still cropping and point-of-view ways of manipulating an image, and a lot of those photographs take on a very different flavor when one views them from a slightly different angle.
Ok, you are starting to aggravate me with all of these amazing holiday photos. 😦 One thing about moving back to the US is that we only get 2 weeks per year holiday and it just sucks! I miss hopping over to France…
