I love the orange glow version of the tent. Cool photos!
Dr. Bob,
All these recent posts are great. How could anyone not love those roses? The photos of the boats moored at the dock and their reflections in the water remind me of so many of those classic European paintings.
The tent? For me it would be a big ole pig picking with a bluegrass band, maybe doing a few sqaure dance numbers for some cloggers and flat-footers. An old time band or Irish fiddle music jigs and reels would be good too. I believe there almost has to be some music involved in something so festive.

Thank you Jessica. It was fun checking out the construction of the tent throughout the day and at night, that glowing version…..ooh, it’s lovely, isn’t it?
Dr B, I’d love to hear your music thundering out from a tent like this!
I wouldn’t have the angry orange glow in my tent! Instead, I’d have those battery powered “candles” (safer) to give a gentler, softer light, and let my guests enjoy an evening of Spring frogs, crickets and other insect songs, with fireflies in their profusion outside. (I would do my best to make sure delicate scents wafted on the breeze into the tent as well, set it near a garden with lilacs and other spring flowers in bloom.) I’d have spring melons and fruits for them to nibble, and delicate berry flavored drinks. Or, perhaps an entire meal, with fish, new potatoes and other fresh spring vegetables being featured prominently. (I’d have to have safe lanterns of some sort that could be turned down low if a full meal were served, I *hate* eating in a dim room, though it is supposed to be romantic.) This way, they could enjoy the sights and sounds, yet not get bitten by mosquitos. I might finish the evening with a story teller or poetry reading, with Spring being the theme.
Coming back to clarify a bit. The tent is beautiful with its reddish orange glow. *BUT* I think it is best viewed from a distance that way. I can’t see myself having much fun under only that color light for very long. It’s too aggressive. Too harsh. If it were softened up some, maybe. But I can’t stand looking at a really bright red in brilliant sunlight either, it hurts my eyes. To me, such a tent almost cries out for cooler, warmer lights, soft scents, and quiet music and fellowship. Or, a really raucous dance. *grin*
