I saw these at the flower market in Aix recently
Aren’t they lovely?
Which flowers are you favourite flowers? Do you ever try to send somebody a message by choosing particular flowers?

Doc, I LITERALLY sighed when I opened this page. GORGEOUS, and lush and abundant. How lovely!
My favorite flower is (big surprise here) the iris. I’m not overly fond of the big, furry Dutch varieties – I’m more of a leggy, Japanese version, myself – but I just adore them. Our wedding bouquet was a cascade of cream colored roses and beautiful, vibrant blue-purple irises, with bits of pearl strands scattered about. I’m not sure I’ve seen anything more beautiful before or since.
Mr. Chili brings me irises every once in a while. The floral shop in University Town calls him whenever they’ve got especially good ones in -I gather he’s one of the few who come to the store looking specifically for irises.
Oh thank you mrschili. Does my heart good to know people can get such pleasure from my photos.
I love irises too. How lucky you are to have them bought for you now and again
It depends, for scent, for just looking at, for sentiment, or for getting as a gift? For scent, I love tea roses, lilacs, and honeysuckle.
To just look at, Irises, Daffodills, Portulaca grandiflora (Moss Rose), Daisys, Tulips, Tea Roses, Water Lilys, Zinnias, Trumpet Vines, and Day/Tiger Lilys are a few.
For sentiment, Dandelions, Daisys, Lilacs, old fashioned dark bluey-purple Iris, White Tea Roses (specifically Burpee’s Honor variety) and Clover blooms.
To recieve, Daisys, a single Rose, (preferably a Tea Rose, not a long stem) Irises, a sprig of Lilacs or blooming Mint, or Zinnias.
Pardon, I thought it was Burpee’s, but I guess not. This rose.
