Having just posted about “arrogance and ignorance” I thought again about this photo I took yesterday. When I looked at it, at first, I thought it was in black and white. Which was strange, because I shot it in colour. But then the blueness of the stone at the 11 o’clock position in the picture caught my eye.
Seems that in the real world, even when things look black and white……they’re not!

I probably see this tree every day. It’s just that I don’t remember ever seeing it. However, because of the fog this morning, the background which the tree usually disappears into, was faded to white and suddenly…..there’s a tree!

This fungus growing through the moss on the trunk of a tree caught my eye as I walked past. Incredible patterns. It almost looks like it should be on the bottom of the sea!

Wow! Look at these! Aren’t they wonderful?
These are the seedheads of Anenome Japonica (thank’s Jane – I had no idea what they were!)
Amazingly, they’ve survived the weeks of snow and frost to get to this point in March. Resilience? Strength? Assertiveness? I think so…
