How lucky am I? To live amongst the fields of gold?
(not barley, but vines, in my case!)

Hi, Bob, haven’t put anything on your blog for ages. Many congratulations on retiring, and many more congratulations on going to live in a particularly beautiful part of a particularly beautiful country. We had a couple of weeks there in summer 1991, not far from Cognac, surrounded by vineyards and sunflower fields – remember it well. Love the song by Sting, which I think would be even better sung in a Scottish accent – very Celtic sounding melody. Hope you’re enjoying the Pineau de Charentes, and that you won’t forget Scotland!
