Rainbows like this make us believe one more time that beauty could also be found in very simple things around us.
Regards.
Don’t they just! Thankyou for stopping by and commenting. I hope people click on your name, jantrik, and go and see YOUR wonderful photographs on your own site. They are truly beautiful
I always wonder what color is the light that we can’t see too, the light that is beyond our visible spectrum…like what colors do cats see if they could be made visible to us. What’s interesting to me is that light bounces off an object, and what comes back to our eye is a color. But that color is also changed and affected by the color of the light hitting it. Very tricky stuff when painting.
These rainbows that you photograph seem so solid! I can see why the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow seems possible. It seems like something you can reach out and touch!
How beautiful.
You post such lovely and thoughful / thoughprovoking pictures.
oh yes Ester i’ve often wondered that too. In fact once you stop to think about the neuroscience behind sight it’s a bit mind boggling to wonder about all the “colours” that might exist that our eyes just can’t detect!
It’s true about the solidity of these rainbows, Ester. This one was on the Isle of Skye and it was quite THE most vivid one I think i’ve ever seen.
Thank you Autumn Song, I’m glad you find them not only beautiful but also thought provoking – I like that a lot!
