Thanks for sharing! Though, some of them, are kind of…unique, with the random faces peeking through the bodies.
Beautiful work indeed….reminicent of the later periods in Dali’s creative life…I think it send that message that has been voiced in so many ways over the last half century or so: we are broken, in a way, fragmented, not whole anymore. Makes me think of Robert Frost’s poem (quite prophetic, considering that when he wrote it, in 1923, the worst of the fragmentation and disillusionment was yet to come):
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leafs a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
I enjoy his beautiful work. Thanks for sharing.
I lived in Aix for a year.. this just adds to the beauty of this city 🙂

[…] That’s exciting. You know what else is exciting? A mimosa. That’s all I’m going to say. In the mean time while we wait for Glee to drop a bomb on us, I really want you guys to check out this art exhibition post by “Heroes not Zombies”. I was completely floored by how amazing this art was; Igor Mitoraj is an incredible artist and sculptor who I still think is quite underrated. His work needs to be seen by more people! Just give it a brief glance, and if you have more time, check out more of his art. Anyhoo, here is the post: Scattered around the centre of Aix en Provence are some enormous sculptures by Igor Mitoraj. I’ve never seen his work before, but I’m glad I’ve seen some now.
