Out for a walk today in a forest and spied this rosehip just next to the path. I love the colour of it (and the thistle in the background helps locate the photo to Scotland, doesn’t it?)
Do you gather rosehips, or any other fruits from the forest?

rosehips are so gorgeous to add to a bouquet. Can’t say that I’ve ever seen them growing wild here in the States. When I was little I used to go mushroom hunting with my dad after the spring rains, and we would collect huge amounts of morel mushrooms to eat fresh. Those were some of the most tasty moments ever!
Rosehip jam is the best. 🙂 I read somewhere that rosehips have the most vitamin C out of all the fruits. I haven’t seen any rosehips growing here in the US, but I was planning on ordering some so I can plant it in my yard.
